NAIROBI hydro flask 64 oz wide mouth for sale , March 18 (Xinhua) -- Beijing-based sportswear manufacturer Li Ning's hopes of securing Kenya to brand its logo at the 2015 World Championships failed after the country opted to stick with Nike from USA.

In 2010, Athletics Kenya (AK) had agreed with Pamodzi Sports Marketing, a company IAAF had agreed to market the sport in Africa and Asia, to sign with Beijing-based Li Ning, but maneuvers by the government and sports administrators led to a still birth to the deal.

Instead, AK used the negotiations with Li Ning to improve their bargain and renew their contract with USA Sports Apparel Nike.

Dakar (Senegal) based Papa Massata Diack, the CEO of Pamodzi Sports Marketing, said in a statement received in Nairobi on Wednesday that his firm lost a lot of money after the deal collapsed.

""In 3 months, we were successful to find an agreement with Li-Ning (China) Sports Goods Ltd for a deal over 10 million U.S. dollars for six years, 2011 to 2016. The deal was signed by AK President, General Secretary and Treasurer in July 2010,"" said Diack, who is a son to IAAF President Lamine Diack.

The signing on fee of 200,000 dollars was paid by Oceans Marketing representing Li Ning and Pamodzi and later reimbursed to Oceans Marketing when AK decided to terminate the agreement unilaterally. Nike offered a counter signing on fee of 500,000 dollars.

""With investigation going in Kenya over the deal, I do understand that we have been used to re-negotiate the agreement with Nike and if there are problems arising from that, the only persons to be blamed are AK officials,"" he said.

Miao Yizhi

An 8-year-old boy named Miao Yizhi from Whenzhou city of east China’s Zhe Jiang Province, passed Level 3 of the Public English Test System (PETS 3) in March this year, becoming the youngest examinee who passes this test, reported local newspaper Xian Dai Jin Bao.

Miao is now in the second grade of a primary school in Wenzhou. His father teaches English, his mother being a teacher as well.

At the age of six, Miao was accompanied by his parents to take PETS1 exam, when the little boy could hardly reach the desk. But Miao easily finished the exam in less than an hour, and passed the exam with high marks in written test and full marks in oral test.

In April this year, Miao again staked through PETS 3 test (the level approximates CET4 test) and got the certificate, setting a new record of the youngest participant winning the highest level. According to his father, Miao is even capable to pass the CET6 exam (college students in China may choose to take).

His father told the reporter that since the day he was born, the little boy has been immersed in English speeches of celebrities, such as “Gettysburg Address” by Abraham Lincoln, and “I have a dream” by Martin Luther King, Jr.

The father didn’t teach Miao how to pronounce a word or how to explain a word in Chinese, nor did he teach him grammar like most Chinese teachers do. Instead, he gathered classic English audios and videos for the kid, making him to imitate all by himself.

The father revealed the boy’s learning method: lying on the sofa with eyes closed, learning English by listening and following the sentences played by the language repeater. As he focuses himself on listening with eyes closed, he has developed his own way of learning ”naked listening”-listening without referring to books. Now he can even understand English novels only by listening.

Besides English, the boy is also doing well in Chinese, mathematics as well as football and table tennis.

LAGOS, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Nigeria's football governing body will announce the appointment of a technical adviser for the Super Eagles in August, an official said Thursday.

Chris Green, Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical and Development Committee disclosed this to reporters in Abuja, the nation's capital city.

The Committee had given the committee seven days within which to name a technical adviser for the senior national team following the federation' s failure to obtain Frenchman Paul Le Guen' s signature as coach of the team.

Green said though the deadline given to the committee by the NFF Board to name Le Guen' s replacement elapsed on July 27, efforts were on to ensure it does not exceed August.

"We have spread our dragnet by considering the once that applied now and it will be announced to Nigerians by next month; So, I think we are on course," he said.

The FA subsequently named Salisu Yusuf as the new Super Eagles head coach.

The NFF Executive Committee had claimed it rejected the recommendation of its technical committee for Le Guen to be appointed the Super Eagles technical adviser, hence the appointment of Yusuf. Enditem

NTOROKO, Uganda, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- This year has seen China pour huge financial resources in Uganda to help the East African country fast track its economic development.

Deep in rural Uganda, it is common to see Chinese engineers with their heavy earth moving equipment dig up roads or preparing to construct huge hydro power plants.

Far from the oil resource and trade, China is now targeting transport and energy infrastructure which according to economic experts are major bottlenecks to unlocking Uganda's economic potential.

In the outskirts of the capital Kampala, Chinese engineers are working with their local counterparts day and night to finish the construction of the country's first ever Expressway linking the capital Kampala to Entebbe International Airport, the country's main gateway to the rest of the world.

Using loans of 350 million U.S. dollars from China's Export and Import Bank, Uganda anticipates that the four carriage 37-km road will open new opportuni.
